Hamadeh Shadi

Shadi Hamadeh has been a professor of animal sciences at the American University of Beirut (AUB) since 1988. His research interests range from animal- environment interactions to sustainable food systems. He is currently heading the Department of Agriculture and leading the Environment and Sustainable Development Unit at AUB. His major challenge is to reconcile the chaos theory with the bitter realities of rural development in the Arab world.
