41st session of the European Commission on Agriculture

The main technical theme for this session will be plant health in Europe and Central Asia. It will focus on the regional relevance of plant health and the impacts of plant pests and diseases on the implementation of SDGs, especially food security, poverty reduction, sustainable economic development, and partnerships.
Background papers will be presented on the importance of plant health, its relevance, trends and developments, linkages with climate change and climate variability, impact on food system and biodiversity, as well as on international trade, human mobility, and pest risks in agricultural crops and forests in the countries of the region.
