GFOI partner SilvaCarbon is leading the workshop "Exchange on voluntary carbon markets and the interaction with national reporting" from 12 to 14 August 2024 at the headquarters of the United States Geological Survey (USGS) in Reston, Virginia, USA. The meeting will focus on the challenges and solutions to notable case studies to develop guidance for other countries.

The Global Forest Observations Initiative (GFOI) will be represented with the participation of Carly Green (GFOI Content Manager) to contribute to the discussion of developing GFOI guidance on reporting standards and the technical implications of accessing carbon markets in relation to reporting to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).
