Overview:
The webinar will analyse the use of economic tools as a means of prioritizing development interventions with adaptation benefits as well as assessing the actual impacts of agricultural projects. The first presentation will look at how observational and experimental evaluation techniques can be used by policymakers to determine the most effective adaptation activities. The second presentation will cover the practical steps of implementing a cost-benefit analyses, including individual versus social costs and benefits. Lastly, there will be a presentation on the experience of Uruguay in impact assessments of interventions by the Ministry of Livestock, Agriculture and Fisheries. By the end, participants should be have a better understanding of how adaptation options can be prioritized and how impact evaluations and cost-benefit analyses relate to the overall NAP process.
