Christabel Kwasi, a young Ghanaian farmer and mother, learned that with better farming practices, she and her family can rely on fonio all year-round. Fonio is an ancient indigenous West African grain that thrives in arid conditions. An FAO project, in collaboration with chef Fatmata Binta, boosts the cultivation skills and productivity of Ghanaian women fonio producers.
