Around 733 million people faced hunger last year, equivalent to one in eleven people globally, according to the latest State of Food Security and Nutrition in the World (SOFI) report. Undernourishment levels are comparable to 2008-2009, with hunger continuing to rise in Africa, remaining stable in Asia, and showing progress in Latin America, the report shows.
