Organized by the Collaborative Partnership on Forests (CPF), the international conference “Working across Sectors to Halt Deforestation and Increase Forest Area: from Aspiration to Action”, is being hosted by FAO at its headquarters in Rome from 20 to 22 February 2018. Featuring leading speakers and experts from a broad spectrum of institutional, public and private sectors, and other key stakeholders, the conference will encourage wide-ranging discussions on how individually and collaboratively sectors can develop successful policies and action around the conference theme, in order to provide input – via the United Nations Forum on Forests 13 (May 2018) – to the UN High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (July 2018) and its review of progress towards achieving Sustainable Development Goal 15 on Life on Land.
