Sheikh Zayed Centre (FAO Headquarters)
26.09.2023
 Rome time

Genomics, genome editing and other biotechnologies have the potential to enhance both the economic viability and sustainability of smallholder dairy farming in Sub-Saharan Africa through improvement of locally adapted genetic resources. The program will highlight ongoing collaborations between national research organizations, biotechnology developers, and NGOs that seek to enhance farmer access to these technologies. Three speakers will offer the perspectives of a national research agency, a technology developer, and an NGO followed by a moderated panel discussion.
