Beale timber sorter. - This instrument solves the problems involved in sorting and stenciling timbers. The unit performs 13 sorts on a 90-ft (27.4 m) track and can handle 6,000 lb (2,720 kg) of timber up to 30 in. (76 cm) wide and 40 ft (12 m) long. The series of operations now handled by the machine formerly required three men.

Automatic lift truck power system. - This 72-volt, high-speed control circuit enables standard automatic battery-powered fork lift trucks to handle heavy duty work cycles over long periods. Available for trucks in capacities 3,000 to 10,000 lb (1,300 to 4,500 kg).
System gives lift trucks capabilities equal to gas-powered equipment. A 6-speed controller is employed.
Lift trucks attain travel speed of 9 ½ mph (15 km/in) under full load. Operator can choose between fast and slow lifting speed.

Jib crane attachment. - A 10-ton capacity jib crane attachment, complete with electric hoist, two-part line and load block, is available as optional equipment for the Le Tourneau Series FHT-20 fork lift truck. With the jib crane attachment, the fork lift truck can lift a 10-ton load at a 10-foot (3m) clear reach. It is powered by a 210-hp diesel engine. Operation of functional units is controlled by simple electric switches.

Tico hydraulic crane. - The jib, which is in three telescoping sections, can be adjusted in length. At the base of the jib is a winch powered by a 7-cylinder hydraulic motor. Snap-on El-300 mobile power unit. - Completely portable light and power unit designed for use in virtually any location where electric power is not available. The unit consists of a highly mobile two-wheel cart, a 14-in. (355-mm) diameter flood light, and a very compact alternator which delivers 1,200 watts of 115 volt A.C. electric power. It weighs only 65 lb (29.5 kg), and measures 22 x 14 ½ x 15 ¼ in. (559 x 368 x 387 mm).

Electro-hydraulic lift kit. - A lift kit that converts any make or model of ½ or ¾ ton pickup into a completely self-contained all-purpose dump truck. Forest fire shovel. - Developed specifically to meet requirements of fire fighting, shovel conforms to Forest Service specifications established by the Arcadia Equipment Development and Testing Center, and represents a combination of features necessary for effective fireline construction and fire suppression work. It has improved capability for chopping small limbs and light brush, digging out burning material and throwing soil on flaming fuel.

Cutter-blade. - Removes large tree stumps where blasting is impossible, or in spaces where the bulldozer cannot work. A toothed cutter is fitted in place of the bucket of a back hoe or trencher and is used to quarter the stump and sever the roots. Cutter is roughly semi-circular, but the radius is greater at one end of the blade to give it a lead into the work. The large teeth, tipped with Stellite, are offset to right and left alternately.

Pulley block. - An opening pulley brook designed for logging work. With an overall length 400 mm and weighing 10 kg, it is supplied either in cast iron or steel with a bronze bushing. It can be opened or looked by turning the hook, and since it is hinged at the lower part of the block it is unaffected by the load and is therefore completely secure.
