Rebel lift truck. - Gas powered lift truck of 2,000, 2,500 and 3,000 lb (910, 1,135 and 1,360 kg) capacity with solid tires and 2,000 and 2,500 lb (910 and 1,135 kg) capacity with pneumatic tires. A 45 bhp engine develops travel speed of 10 mph. Can maneuver in close spaces and stack at right angles in a 10 ft (3 m) aisle with a 4 It (1.2 m) long load.

Tractor-mounted rippers.

Tractor-mounted rippers. - Two rippers for heavy-duty construction work have been introduced, one to fit the Euclid 82-40 tractor (illustrated) and the other to fit the Caterpillar D9 tractor. Two positions allow easy adjustment for true parallel or modified parallel ripping, designed for depths to 84 in (200 cm) with single shank or 50 in (127 cm) with twin shanks.

Portable arc welder. - McCulloch Corporation has made AC/DC arc welding more portable with the integral rectifier incorporated on the McCulloch 170 amp welder. Weighing only 58 lb (26 kg) with the rectifier, the compact unit offers a welder the option of AC/DC welding at any time it is running.

Dozing tools.

Dozing tools. - Balderson Inc. has announced the availability of several job-matched dozing tools for Cat D5 tractors, including inside dozers and various configurations of U-blades. Applications are numerous, in particular the movement of wood chips. The center moldboard of the U-blade is curved vertically and rolls the material upward and forward after it is picked up by the cutting edge.

Tilt attachment for motor graders.

Tilt attachment for motor graders. - A new tilt attachment, available for all Caterpillar motor graders, features a simplified mounting bracket which reduces installation time by as much as 30 percent. Heavier duty cylinders have been added for more dependable service under the toughest conditions. Controls are located in the operator's compartment. By moving a lever, the operator can set the pitch of the grader blade to match work to be done.

Heavy-duty pulpwood fork. - A heavy-duty pulpwood fork for use with Caterpillar wheel-type or track type loaders. Positive control permits handling of tree-lengths of pulpwood or sawlogs. Designed with a top clamp which gives logs a lifting action to prevent jamming in the throat. Tapered bottom tines permit the faster pick-up of pulpwood and the easy positioning and handling of heavier loads.

FOCO 600 hydraulic crane. - A crane with a patented geometry of movement and a hydraulic extension not less than 80 percent of the total jib length. Transports load 5.5 m (18 It 4 in) in unbroken line. With a lifting moment of 6,000 kgm (43,400 ft-lb) it easily lifts 1 ton at 6 m (20 It) extension. It can be mounted on truck, trailer or on a base for stationary use.

Cotil CT. 72 mobile crane. - This fully mobile 1-ton crane has been designed for the easy mounting of a wide range of ancillary equipment and implements. Continuous power slowing over 360º with power driven winch incorporated in the boom enables loads to be hauled and raised from, or lowered into, excavations up to 110 It (33.5 m) deep. Simple, single lever control from the seat or from the front of the crane. 65 bhp diesel power unit, hydraulically operated throughout with separate hydraulic motors. Standard equipment includes a 13 ft (4 m) telescopic boom, 14 x 30/8-ply rear and 750 x 16/8-ply front pneumatics, speed gearbox giving 17 mph road travel. Optional equipment includes a 15 It (4.6 m) boom.

Tree marking pistol.

Tree marking pistol. - The CO2 gas operated Nel-Spot "707" pellet pistol shoots marking pellets which break upon impact. A bright, durable color mark, visible for hundreds of feet, is obtained from a distance which is accurate up to about 50 ft (15 m). The pellets contain no lead and are considered non-toxic. Colors red, blue, yellow, orange, white, light green, dark green.

ESCO skidding grapple.

ESCO skidding grapple. - The ESCO skidding grapple will pick up a single log or loads up to 40 in (100 cm) diameter. The boom rotates 70º to either side allowing the driver to pick up logs in a wide area without moving the skidder and steer loads around stumps and young trees without damage. The driver releases the load without stopping. For skid ding sawmill logs, tongs are equipped with blunt teeth to assure firm gripping. Pole and piling tongs have a knife-like inside edge for positive gripping of logs. Pulpwood tongs are designed to handle single loads or bundles.
