III. Marketing

Most of the seaweed production from Bali Province was marketed to other districts especially in Java (Surabaya and Jakarta), with the exception of Eucheuma which is exported.

IV. Constraints

The problems of Eucheuma culture in Bali Province are as follows:

  1. The plants are grazed by small fishes and are affected by heavily rainfall in the culture site.

  2. Eucheuma plants are being distrubed by different species of seaweeds such as Ulva species which cause the main branches of the plant to break.
