VI. OTHER MATTERS

103. The Committee noted the request of the Director of RLCP for the extension of its two NACA project staff to continue their services much needed for the smooth implementation of the project activities.

104. The Committee also took note of the forthcoming Regional Intergovernmental Consultations for Formulation and Implementation of Programmes for Technical Cooperation among Developing Countries to be held in Beijing during 1–12 November 1983. Mr. de San of UNDP informed that one of the issues to be discussed includes the use of resources of technical know-how in the region, inter-alia through exchange of expertise at reduced cost. UNDP is prepared to provide some of the additional funding required for non in-country expenditure in support of such TCDC exchanges between developing countries in the framework of projects which may result from that meeting.
