On 13 February, 1981, the Directorate of Fisheries requested ADCP to make available the services of its fish feed technologist under the Regional Project to undertake a two-month consultancy according to the following terms of reference :
to advise on the renovation and improvement of the fish feed plant and the nutrition laboratory;
to review and advise on the research programmes related to fish nutrition and feed technology; and
to design and initiate nutritional experiments.
The author arrived in Bangkok on 8 July 1981 and completed his mission on 7 September 1981.
