EQUIPMENT FOR A MEDIUM SIZE MAGUR HATCHERY

For broodfish manipulation:

Broodfish tanks (min. 2 tanks)
Table for treatment of broodfish (2 feet × 3 feet)
Net or scoopnet for catching of fish from the broodfish tank
Pots for broodfish transportation
Clothes for handling
Hand or electric drill for drilling mouth of the male fish
Needless and thread for stiching mouth of male

For hormonal treatment and stripping:

Syringes with 1–5 ml volume
Homogenizer or mortar for PG
Scissor for operation of male fish
Needles and thread for stitching belly of operated male fish
Petri-dishes for temporary storage of testis
Plankton or brass net for squeezing of testis
Plastic pots for collection of stripped eggs (Vol.: 1–3 l)
Teaspoons for distribution of eggs

For hatching and larva rearing:

Galvanized iron troughs with inner incubator frames
Syphons of different diameter (from 3–4 mm to 10 mm)
Plastic basins for larva manipulation and storing of Tubifex
Aerator for Artemia hatching
Plankton net for cleaning of Artemia and Tubifex
Brush for cleaning the filter of water outlet pipes
Knife for cutting Tubifex

Balance for weighing of stripped eggs
