Both big inland lakes seem to be heavily overfished. The fishermen' number is growing steadily. The catch is maintened only by capturing the young ones of valuable fishes. But in the mean time, the productive water column is not exploited properly, due to the lack of column feeder (phyto - and zooplancton feeder) fish.
