The activities during the five-week mission to Botswana (31 October – 5 December 1989) and the subsequent three weeks in the United Kingdom were:
pre-testing, revision and implementation of a survey to document fish eating habits and attitudes in communities living around the selected dams;
pre-testing, revision and implementation of a survey to document the occurrence of fishing activity at the selected dams;
investigation of current patterns of fish consumption in eastern Botswana;
input and analysis of survey data
preparation of draft report for discussion and approval by relevant authorities and FAO.
