Based on the information collected during the study, a number of issues emerged which were considered to require further investigation:
Identification of suitable sites for seaweed cultivation by an independent qualified expert would greatly assist prospective companies, non-governmental organisations or other agencies considering involvement in seaweed farming;
Trial experiments on the culture of other species;
Preparation of handbooks on seaweed farming in Tanzania
Encouragement of local community involvement of seaweed farming instead of commercial farming using employed workers;
Collection and preparation of market information for prospective investors.
