   BURKINA FASO

The revised 2003 aggregate cereal production stands at some 3.6 million tonnes, an increase of 16 percent compared with the record crop harvested in 2002. Cereal import requirement in 2003/04 (November/October), mostly rice and wheat, is forecast at 230 000 tonnes. About 500 000 tonnes of cereal are available for export and possible stock build-up in the country.
