MAURITANIA

Aggregate 2004 cereal output has been estimated at some 101�192 tonnes, about 44 percent below last year and 36 percent below the previous five years average. Total imports of cereal in the marketing year ending in October 2005 are forecast to be around 367 000 tonnes, including re-exports of wheat. Commercial cereal imports are estimated at about 281�600 tonnes.
