If the fish are stripped at the spawning ground such as in the Penang or Kelantan areas, the fertilized eggs should be transported back to the hatchery the same night or the following day. To prevent the eggshell from breaking during transportation, the eggs should be brought back to the hatchery in oxygenated plastic bags.
