The Working Group on the Demersal Resources in the Western Gulf of Guinea and Sherbro Statistical Divisions was held at the Centre de recherches océanographiques, Abidjan, from 24 to 28 September 1990 at the kind invitation of the Ministry of Scientific Research Côte d'Ivoire. Mr J. Konan (Côte d'Ivoire) presided over the meeting.
Participating in the meeting were experts from Côte d'Ivoire, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Spain, Nigeria and FAO. The list of participants is given in Appendix 1.
Mr J. Bravo de Laguna (Consultant) was the rapporteur assisted by Messrs M. Ansa-Emmim, J. Konan, Ms Ana Ramos, K. Koranteng and M. Taconet. The agenda prepared for the Working Group was adopted (Appendix 2).
