Findings Exotic acacias and mesquites (Prosopis
spp.) have been identified for planting in dry zones with water
harvesting and soil conservation techniques; salt-tolerant tree
species have been identified and successfully established in
reclamation of saline and sodic soil; fast-growing exotic tree
species such as poplin, eucalypts, paulownia and acacias have
been introduced in different parts of the country
