OMAN LEGISLATION
Minister to issue regulations prescribing fees for fishing licences. (Art. 4)

-Fee for fishing boat licence (valid one year) = 1
Rial for up to 50 hp. plus 100 pisas per additional he up to maximum of 200 Rials.
-Fee for fishermen's licence (valid 3 years), including master and crew = 3 Rials (Art. 11)
-Omani fishery companies and institutions operating in Omani fishing zones may not use foreign-owned boats unless permitted to do so by competent authority which has power to levy appropriate tolls on use. (Art. 24)

-For vessels chartered by Omani nationals or companies, fee = 12% of catch value, plus fees per ton of fish: 250 Rials for "bottoms fish"; 200 Rials for "large surface fish"; 100 Rials for "small surface fish" (sardines); 500 Rials for certain fish species specified in legislation".
