TOGO LEGISLATION
Fees for licence (valid 6 months) to import fish are set at the following rates according to tonnage of vessel:
- 0 to 50 n.r.t. = 120 000 CFA
- 50 to 100 n.r.t. = 150 000 CFA

LEGISLATION
In a spirit of inter African solidarity, Togo wishes to allow landlocked African countries to participate in exploitation of its biological resources through bilateral or regional agreements.

LEGISLATION
-National fishing vessel defined as fishing vessel at least half owned by Togo nationals or by nationals of another state with which a reciprocal agreement has been concluded.
-Crew and officers must be nationals except where exemption granted by Minister.
-Where vessels belong to a company, head office must be in Togo, the Chairman of the Board, the General Manager and a majority of the members of the Board must be Togo nationals, and at least 50% of the share capital must be held by Togo nationals or nationals of another state with which a reciprocal agreement has been concluded.

% = Reports must be made every 3 days for vessels from Norway, Sweden and Faroes when fishing for herring, weekly when fishing for other species .
O = Logbook to be filled out(radio report to be made) after every fishing operation .
* = Country is a part to the South Pacific FFA arrangement which stipulates that licences will not be issued to foreign fishing vessels unless those vessels are listed in good standing on the FFA - maintained regional register of fishing vessels .
