Distribution of the Report of the Thirty second Session of the Codex Committee on Food Hygiene (ALINORM 01/13)


The report of the Thirty second Session of the Codex Committee on Food Hygiene (CCFH) is attached. It will be considered by the Forty-seventh Session of the Executive Committee, Geneva 2000, and by the Twenty-fourth Session of the Codex Alimentarius Commission, Geneva, 2001.

MATTERS FOR ADOPTION BY THE CODEX ALIMENTARIUS COMMISSION:

1. Draft Standard for Bottled/Packaged Drinking Waters Other Than Natural Mineral Waters at Step 8, ALINORM 01/13, paras 21-50 and Appendix II.

2. Draft Code of Hygienic Practice for the Transport of Food in Bulk and Semi-Packed Food at Step 8, ALINORM 01/13, paras 51-62 and Appendix III.

Governments wishing to propose amendments to or comment on the above matters should do so in writing in conformity with the Guide to the Consideration of Standards at Step 8 of the Procedure for the Elaboration of Codex Standards Including Consideration of Any Statements Relating to Economic Impact (Procedural Manual of the Codex Alimentarius Commission, Tenth Edition, pages 24-25). Comments or proposed amendments should be sent to the Secretary, Codex Alimentarius Commission, Joint FAO/WHO Food Standards Programme, FAO, Viale delle Terme di Caracalla, 00100 Rome, Italy (fax: +39 (06)570.54593 or E-mail: [email protected]) before 1 October 2000.
