CONSIDERATION OF THE CODEX GENERAL STANDARD FOR FOOD ADDITIVES (GSFA) (AGENDA ITEM 7) - COMMENTS ON THE DRAFT REVISED GUIDELINES FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF MAXIMUM LEVELS FOR THE USE OF FOOD ADDITIVES WITH NUMERICAL ACCEPTABLE DAILY INTAKES (ANNEX A) (AGENDA ITEM 7B)[17]

39. The 23^rd Session of the Codex Alimentarius Commission adopted[18] the proposed draft revised Guidelines for the Development of Maximum Levels for the Use of Food Additives with Numerical Acceptable Daily Intakes (Annex A to the GSFA) at Step 5.

40. The Committee agreed with the recommendation of the WG and forwarded the draft Guidelines for the Development of Maximum Levels for the Use of Food Additives with Numerical Acceptable Daily Intakes (Annex A) to the 24^th Session of the Codex Alimentarius Commission for adoption at step 8 (see Appendix II).
