The Task Force noted with interest the papers provided by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) and the International Association of Plant Breeders for the Protection of Plant Varieties (ASSINSEL). The Representative of the OECD noted that the concept of familiarity was used primarily in environmental risk assessments and that there was no intention to expand the concept beyond this field.
