How to obtain FAO publications

Publications from headquarters (except FAO/GLOBEFISH documents) may be ordered from any of the FAO's Sales Agents (see attached list at the end of this circular). They can also be ordered either through the FAO Representative Office in your country or directly from FAO Headquarters as follows:

Only FAO Fisheries Circulars are available free of charge. All other publications are available for sale. They should be prepaid (see below) and a photocopy of the means of payment should be sent as soon as possible to the FAO Sales and Marketing Group. Should a document be out-of-print, please state whether or not a reproduction is required (see details below).

Field Project Reports are available either in photocopy or in microfiche as mentioned below.

In all cases, clearly cite the complete bibliographic reference for each document. Do not just mention the K index code number, as this will considerably delay processing. The best would be to mark the requested documents on a photocopy of selected pages of this circular.

Specify if you want to order either photocopies or microfiches:

• photocopies cost USD 2.00 per every 10 pages or less, per individual item; the maximum number of copies made per document is 50 pages.
• microfiches are diazo duplicates, 105 x 148 mm; microfiches produced until 1980 (COSATI format) contain 60 pages each; from 1981 (NMA format), they contain 98 pages.

- For developed countries, they cost USD 10.00 for the first fiche and USD 4.00 for each subsequent fiche, including airmail.

- For developing countries, they cost USD 10.00 for the first fiche and USD 2.00 for each subsequent fiche, including airmail.

Rush surcharge per item: USD 25.00
