The meeting took note of the request made by the twenty-fifth session of the Committee on Fisheries (COFI), Rome, February 2003, that its Report be submitted to the next Session of the COFI Sub-Committee on Fish Trade, Bremen, 10-14 February 2004, for consideration and further guidance on follow-up activities, if any, and their time frame.
The Expert Consultation recommended that work is also needed regarding guidelines for ecolabelling schemes that address freshwater capture fisheries.
