Level 1: Group learners enrolled with a group leader and secretary | -listen to radio school as a group -at the end of the radio programme, continue to discuss community issues and plans weekly -send feedback to radio for airing -immediate feedback within group for collective learning | - preferably is from or knowledgeable about the area - facilitates discussions and sends feedback regularly to the radio station/field co-ordinator regarding results, progress, group concerns and group development - ensures groups are motivated to participate | - co-ordinates the activities of all the listener group facilitators - collates feedback from all the groups enrolled -assists with on- going module development alongside the team of experts | -composed of broadcasters and technical experts on the different subject matters -responsible as a team for module preparation and production -ensures CBR production principles are integrated -seeks to make programmes interesting | -responsible for overall project -facilitates development and building of linkages -administers funds, responsible for co-ordination of the different components within the system, oversees personnel and M&E, does reporting | -support facilities and projects that help implement practical learning -support structures for development of community services |
Level 2: Individual enrolled listeners | -listen regularly to the programme -should regularly send feedback, either directly or through a go-between | -tries to visit individual listeners to obtain interviews and get feedback on the impact of the programme | -ensures that Level 2 audience is also considered in radio format and content | -promotes programme also for individuals and motivates them to form community groups - advises individual listeners to discuss programme with friends | -should be open to individual listeners to motivate them to form a group | |
Level 3: Individual listeners who are not enrolled | -listen regularly or irregularly -may or may not send feedback | -ensures that needs of prospective level 3 audience are considered during broadcasts | -seeks to identify unenrolled listeners -specifies levels of benefits to different levels of listeners | -open to all who want to benefit and co-operate with projects |
