The Council has noted the final Report of the Working Group of the Committee on Permanent Site (C49/12), prepared and circulated in accordance with the request of the Sixth Session. In referring it to the Conference, the Council reiterates its recommendation that the question of the Site be decided by the Conference without further delay in order that FAO may establish itself in permanent headquarters as soon as possible.
The Council wishes to express its appreciation of the excellent and painstaking work of the Committee on Permanent Site under the able chairmanship of Dr. Chen Chih-Mai.
