Regional standards for phytosanitary measures are developed and adopted by the Asia and Pacific Plant Protection Commission as part of the plant protection programme of the Commissions contracting parties. This programme makes available to contracting and other interested parties regional standards for phytosanitary measures to support regional harmonization, with the aim to facilitate trade and avoid the use of unjustifiable measures as barriers to trade.
This standard was endorsed by the twenty-fourth session of the Asia and Pacific Plant Protection Commission in September 2005.
