The National Plan is based on studies which were conducted in Greece during 1987. From these, a range of advice and recommendations for action for particular areas of Greek aquaculture development is provided.
These areas are as follows:

Lagoon development and management
Eel culture
Trout and carp culture
Shellfish culture
Marine hatcheries
Aquaculture engineering
Fish feed technology and fish nutrition
Fish pathology
These reports were prepared as part of the UNDP/FAO project ‘Development of Marine and Inland Aquaculture in Greece’. They are available in English from the National Centre for Marine Research, Athens, and will soon be available in Greek.
