The following announcement on seed distribution to foreign countries has been made
by the Director, Forest Research Institute at Bogor, on 7 May 1973:
“Because of the frequent requests for forest tree seed, either in bulk or in
small quantities, we feel it necessary to announce to you the following:
Our governmental regulation only permits the sending of small quantities
of forest tree seed on exchange basis to be used for research purposes. For some tree species a permission from the Minister of Agriculture is
required. Any request for forest tree seed or seedlings should be channelled
through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs c.q. Bureau of Foreign Economic
Relations.” |
