Survey responses – national legal and policy frameworks

These survey responses were submitted by countries in 2013 as inputs to the preparation of the FAO publication The Second Report on the State of the World’s Animal Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture. The survey was based on a standardized electronic questionnaire. Government-appointed National Coordinators for the Management of Animal Genetic Resources led the preparation of the survey responses in their respective countries.

The information in the survey responses has not been verified by FAO and the opinions expressed do not necessarily represent the views or policy of FAO. The designations employed and the presentation of material in the survey responses do not imply the expression of any opinion whatsoever on the part of FAO concerning the legal or development status of any country, territory, city or area or of its authorities, or concerning the delimitation of its frontiers or boundaries. The mention of specific companies or products of manufacturers, whether or not these have been patented, does not imply that these have been endorsed or recommended by FAO in preference to others of a similar nature that are not mentioned.
