Information as produced and disseminated in the industrialized countries often fails to meet the needs of developing countries. At the same time, information generated in the developing countries is little known and poorly used. This issue of World Animal Review looks at instances of enhanced information use in, by and for developing countries, and considers the prospective role of new communication techniques.
