Explanatory Note

A colon (:) following the first name given in an index entry indicates that the first name is of the parent institution, and the name following the colon is that of the actual target institution discussed in that entry. A comma (,) following the first name in an entry indicates that the first name is of the target institution, followed by the name(s) of the parent institutions from smallest to largest. For example, in the listing:

Agricultural Research Centre: Soils and Water Research Institute

The Agricultural Research Centre is the parent organization and the Soils and Water Research Institute is the subject of the entry. In the listing:

Agricultural Experiment Station, New Mexico State University

New Mexico State University is the parent organization and the Agricultural Experiment Station is the subject of the entry.

Throughout the Index of Institutions, "-----" denotes repetition of the first cluster of terms in the preceding listing, while "-----, -----" denotes repetition of the first two clusters of terms in the preceding listing. For example, in the two listings:

Faculty of Agriculture, University of Jordan
-----, University of Western Australia

The second listing is equivalent to:

Faculty of Agriculture, University of Western Australia
