TWO-DRUM WINCH (Models M. 5, M. 8 and M. 10). - Winch, together with a 15-20 h.p. gasoline or diesel motor, is mounted on a two-wheel undercarriage. Self-opening guide pulleys and cableway supports are in steel and wood. Specifications: Model M. 5 consists of a main drum holding 500-700 m. cable 9 mm. diameter and running at 0.85 m./sec. or 1.40 m./sec., giving a maximum drawing force of 1,800 kg. Auxiliary drum running at 1.30 m. or 2.00 m./sec. serves for the smaller auxiliary gable (1,000-1,400 m., 5 mm. diameter). Model M. 8, giving gable speeds between 0.5 and 4 m./sec. and exerting a max. drawing forge of 3 tons. The main drum normally holds 750-1,000 m. cable of 9.5-11 mm. diameter. Model M. 10 has 1, 2 or 3 drums and a max. drawing force of 4 tons.

SANDER WITH PLANER HEAD. - 9 in. (23 cm.) tool for removing bark, fitted with a rotary planer head, performs many wood surfacing and shaping operations. Also available is a planer head with rounded surface for deep gouging. Specifications: weight, 18¾ lb. (8.5 kg.); no-load spindle speed of 4,000 r.p.m., optional spindle speed of 5,000 r.p.m. also available; overall length, 19½ in. (50 cm.). Planer head shown has a flat face for surfacing and semi-finishing. Sander uses standard 115 or 220 voltage with universal motor.

(1.2 m.) overall length of precision ground table can be transformed quickly into circular sawbench which supports timber between saw and fence. The ½ in.
