Describes how blowflies and houseflies can be dangerous in and around fish shops and gives advice on hygiene inside and outside the shop. Discusses the effectiveness of various insecticides, but up-to-date advice should be sought on selection, application and use. Electric fly killers are now in widespread use throughout the food industry. Note that wooden bench tops are not compatible with current hygiene requirements. Read in conjunction with Notes 1, 12 and 14.
