Accompanying Notes

Outlines how the introduction of metrication will affect the fish industry. Introduces the International System of Units that is being adopted, and lists the main SI units of interest in the industry. Conversion tables are given for changing British units to SI units and vice versa. The simplified conversion factors given are not meant as an authoritative standard, but enable practical calculations of sufficient accuracy so that the British units quoted in previous Notes in the series can be more readily interpreted.
