81. The Committee expressed its gratitude to its outgoing Chairperson, Mr Michael Sissenwine for the able manner in which he had steered the work of the Committee during the past four sessions. The Committee attributed a large measure of its achievements to the untiring efforts and dedication of its Chairperson.
82. The Committee thanked the FAO Fisheries Department staff for their excellent support during preparations for, and the conduct of, the Fourth Session of ACFR. It noted that the contributions by many of the members of the Fisheries Department/Secretariat during the meeting, including the Assistant Director-General, Mr Ichiro Nomura, was very valuable, and it should be encouraged during future sessions. The Committee gave special thanks to Mr Benedict Satia for his hard work and very effective facilitation of the Committee’s activities.
