The Commission confirmed the designation of the Host Governments as listed in the Appendix IX to this report, with the understanding that the new Ad Hoc Intergovernmental Task Force on Foods Derived from Biotechnology would be hosted by the Government of Japan pending further confirmation. It also confirmed the dissolution of the Ad Hoc Intergovernmental Task Force on Animal Feeding, which had completed its work[69] and congratulated Denmark for the extraordinary work accomplished.
