  BURUNDI

The 2003 second season cereal harvest was generally good. Cereal import requirements in 2003 are estimated at 70 000 tonnes, including 40 000 tonnes of food aid. Against the food aid requirement, 44 000 tonnes of cereals have already been pledged.
