Asia-Pacific Forestry Week

Call for technical posters

FAO warmly invites you to demonstrate and share your work at the Asia-Pacific Forestry Week at a poster session. Posters can present research findings, key results, recommendations or other information about projects, programmes and organizations working in the region.

All authors must bring their poster to the poster sessions and be a registered participant for Asia-Pacific Forestry Week.  

Please note FAO cannot print posters for authors or provide funding for travel.

Technical guidelines

Content

The poster must be technically or scientifically sound, up-to-date and relevant to the topic of forests and forestry in the Asia-Pacific region.  They can present research findings, key results, conclusions, recommendations or other information about projects, programmes and organizations working in the region.

Format

  • Maximum 700 words, minimum font size of 20 point to be readable from 2 metres
  • Size A0 portrait style (84.1 centimetres wide x 118.9 centimetres high or 33.11 inches wide x 46.81 inches high)

Poster text divided into 3 sections covering the following content:

  • Scope and main objectives
  • Innovative approach/results
  • Conclusions/lessons learned/way forward/why it matters/recommendations

Use short sentences or bullet points wherever possible and avoid long dense text.

Include at least two photos/figures/tables to make the content interesting and attractive.

Include the names and organization affiliations of the authors underneath the title.

At the venue 

All authors of posters should prepare, print (and laminate if possible) the hard copy of their poster and to bring them to the poster sessions for presentation.
