The Symposium will have a multi-stakeholder, multi-sectorial and multi-disciplinary approach. About 400 participants are expected to attend including representatives of governments, the United Nations system (UN Secretariat, Funds, Programmes, and Specialized Agencies), intergovernmental organizations and non-state actors (civil society, non-governmental organizations, private sector entities, philanthropic foundations, academic and research institutions). Participants, panellists and speakers for the various sessions will be selected through a combination of public open calls, official invitations and proposals from FAO’s Partnerships and South-South Cooperation Division.
