Ewald Rametsteiner is head of the Forest Governance Unit in FAO’s Forestry Department and Deputy Delivery Manager of FAO’s work on “Building a Common Vision for Sustainable Food and Agriculture”. Before joining FAO in 2009, he worked at the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis and led the Central-Eastern European Project Centre of the European Forest Institute. He holds a PhD from the University of Applied Life Sciences, Vienna, Austria.
