AGORA

AGORA continues to expand its access to thousands of valuableinformation resources covering agriculture, fisheries, food, nutrition, and more in public institutions across the world, now featuring up to 19,000 subscription based scientific journals and up to 61,000 e-books. Subscription-based journals and major scientific books remain important sources of high-quality scientific information that are crucial in advancing higher education, improving the ability to share findings, and informing public policy decisions.

AGORA now also includes up to 110 of the world’s leading scientific journalpublishers’ in the knowledge platform and up to 95 publisher partners. Some of the world-leading partners in AGORA include the International Association of Scientific, Technical & Medical Publishers (STM), The World Health Organization (WHO), Cornell and Yale University Libraries, as well as many others. 

With the increase in resources available through AGORA, along with Hinari, OARE, ARDI, and GOALI, Research4Life now boastsup to 29,000 subscription based scientific journals, up to 111,000 major scientific books and up to 120 other valuable information resources available to access through the platform. In total, Research4Life now includes more than 10,000 registered institutions and provides access to up to 132,000 total resources. 

This continued expansion to provide organizations with increased free or low-cost access to paywalled scientific literature will help to substantially improve the quality and effectiveness of agricultural research and education in low and medium-income member countries.
