New AGORA online course coming in May

21 4月 2015

A new AGORA online course is planned for May to June 2015, delivered through the ITOCA Moodle platform. The course will be delivered in English and will be covered in 4 weeks. Registrations will be open on the 4th of May onwards and the course is expected to commence on the 18th of May 2015. The primary goal of the course is to explain how AGORA works targeting institutions registered with AGORA. The course takes 6-8 hours to complete, self-paced individual learning, and short set of exercises to complete. It is an overview of the 3 day AGORA 'Train the Trainers' workshop and highlights key skills that are necessary for the efficient and effective use of the resources in the Programme.

The course would be useful to users to improve their skills and trainers who are interested in conducting brief courses at their institutions. It is a collaborative effort of Food and Agriculture Organization, ITOCA - Information Training and Outreach Centre for Africa - and the Librarians Without Borders®/Medical Library Association/ (www.mlanet.org/resources/global/) E-Library Training Initiative that is funded by a grant from the Elsevier Foundation.

The materials are also accessible through the AGORA Training page.
