This policy brief seeks to inform negotiators where agriculture is situated in the current negotiations and provides some proposals on how it might be addressed in a global climate change agreement. It builds on the more technical and comprehensive FAO submission made to the Ad Hoc Working Group on Long-term Cooperative Action (AWGLCA), prior to its fourth session (FAO, Enabling agriculture to contribute to climate change mitigation, 6 February 2009).
