The University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn (Uniwersytet Warmińsko-Mazurski w Olsztynie) is a public university in Olsztyn, Poland. The roots of the university draw from the experiences of many academic centres that played a significant role in the history of the region, particularly the higher education institutions in Olsztyn. The merger of these institutions led to the establishment of UWM in 1999.
